THE MISSION

This scholarship was established by Ryan Gordon, who grew up in Chester, Illinois and graduated high school in Murphysboro, IL. Ryan created this scholarship to encourage the youth of his hometown as they graduate high school and look to obtain business and finance skills in support of entrepreneurship.

Eligibility

  • Murphysboro High School graduate, continuing education at college, university or technical institute

  • Student pursuing a degree in Business/Finance/Entrepreneurship focused

Requirements

  • Essay “What it means to be an entrepreneur, and what are my plans”
    2 pages, double spaced, font size 10 to 12

  • Grade Point Average of 2.50 and above

  • Listing of

    • Academic Awards/Honors

    • Extra-Curricular Activities

    • Clubs/Societies/Organizations

  • Describe community involvement, services performed and civic participation
